Wanted (Music 2ºESO)

Nuestros alumnos de 2º de ESO se han convertido recientemente en detectives históricos y expertos en redes sociales para un proyecto bilingüe muy especial en la asignatura de Música. Combinando historia, música y mucha creatividad, han trabajado en grupo para crear carteles de "Se busca" (Wanted) con un giro de lo más original: mezclar la época del Romanticismo con la actualidad.

¿El reto? Los alumnos tenían que imaginar que un famoso compositor romántico (como Chopin, Beethoven o Clara Schumann) había viajado en el tiempo hasta nuestros días.

En sus proyectos, redactados y expuestos en inglés, los grupos tuvieron que explicar:

El "delito": Quién es el compositor y por qué se le busca (destacando su biografía y su legado musical).

El contexto: Cómo contrastan las características de la era romántica con el mundo moderno.

Los avistamientos: ¡Dónde fueron vistos! Los alumnos investigaron y debatieron en qué red social actual (TikTok, Instagram, Spotify...) encajaría mejor su compositor y qué tipo de contenido estaría publicando hoy en día.

Además, demostraron sus destrezas bilingües en acción: Al trabajar en equipo, los estudiantes practicaron la comunicación oral y escrita en inglés, ampliaron su vocabulario musical específico y desarrollaron su competencia digital.

Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de su originalidad, su trabajo en equipo y su nivel lingüístico.

Our 2nd ESO students recently became historical detectives and social media experts for a very special bilingual project in their Music class. Combining history, music, and a lot of creativity, they worked in groups to create "Wanted" posters with a highly original twist: blending the Romantic era with modern times.

The challenge? Students had to imagine that a famous Romantic composer (such as Chopin, Beethoven, or Clara Schumann) had time-travelled to the present day.

In their projects, written and presented entirely in English, the groups had to explain:

The "crime": Who the composer is and why they are wanted (highlighting their biography and musical legacy).

The context: How the characteristics of the Romantic era contrast with the modern world.

The sightings: Where they were spotted! Students researched and debated which current social media platform (TikTok, Instagram, Spotify...) their composer would fit into best and what kind of content they would be posting today.

Furthermore, they put their bilingual skills into action: by working as a team, students practiced oral and written communication in English, expanded their specific musical vocabulary, and developed their digital competence.

We are incredibly proud of their originality, their teamwork, and their language proficiency!

Bienvenid@s de nuevo a nuestro blog de bilingüismo, en el que os iremos contando algunas de las actividades y proyectos que realizamos en el programa bilingüe. Este curso empezamos con un proyecto de matemáticas en 3º. Physical Education Projects

Hello! Our bilingual students have carried out several very interesting projects in Physical Education, and we wanted to share them with you. This is what their teacher Julio tells us: During the first term, we worked on content related to physical fitness and warm-up. We created projects on general warm-up in 2nd year of ESO, as well as general and specific warm-up projects in 3rd year of ESO, with the aim of understanding the different parts of a warm-up, the body parts involved, and helping to prevent injuries. In the second term, we worked with 2nd year of ESO on badminton. Our students learned about aspects related to the rules, equipment, playing field, and technical elements. They put it into practice and, in addition, created infographics explaining each of the topics we covered in class. Certamen Provincial Bilingüe

Un año más, nuestro centro ha participado en el Certamen Provincial de Centros Bilingües celebrado este año en el IES Nicolás Salmerón.  Nuestro alumnado representante de 1ºA y 1ºB ha obtenido muy buenos resultados en las pruebas de inglés y, lo más importante, lo han pasado genial en un día de convivencia de los centros bilingües de la provincia.  Compartimos algunas fotos y el vídeo del Karaoke.  ¡Feliz verano! -------------------------------------------------------------- Once again, our school has taken part in the Provincial Contest of Bilingual Schools, held this year at IES Nicolás Salmerón. Our 1st-year A and B students achieved very good results in the English tests and, most importantly, had a great time during a day of fellowship with other bilingual schools from the province.
