My first days at school

Hello everyone!

Welcome to our new blog about Bilingualism at our Secondary School Algazul. On this blog, you will be able to see many of the amazing activities and projects that our students do in class.

To start with, our new students in 1st ESO B were asked to reflect on their first impressions at school and type them on Padlet in their English lessons with their teacher Nathalie. ¡Hola a todos y a todas!

Os damos la bienvenida a nuestro nuevo blog de Bilingüismo en el IES Algazul. Aquí podrás ver muchas de las actividades y proyectos que nuestros estudiantes hacen en clase.

Para empezar, la profesora de inglés en 1ºB preguntó a su alumnado sobre sus primeras impresiones del centro.  Hello, readers! At our school, we love learning throughout very different methods. For example, we love using learning stations. We have different learning stations with different activities that we all have to complete in groups, but... in five minutes! When the time is up, we must stand up and run to the next station. This may seem stressing, but it is so much fun! Erasmus+ Welcome Concert

As part of our Erasmus+ project, from April 22 to 26, IES Algazul hosted two teachers from Kurfürst-Salentin-Gymnasium in Andernach, Germany, and a group of ten students with their teachers from ZSO in Kluczbork, Poland. To welcome them, our music teachers, Luis and Samuel, prepared a concert in which some of our students showcased their musical talent. The concert was presented in English by four of our bilingual 2nd ESO students: Emma, Jade, Raúl, and Víctor. Advertisements in 2ºB

Our 2ºB students have recorded several advertisements in their music class. Along with their teacher, Samuel, they had to invent slogans in English, create scripts, and, of course, use the appropriate music. In the final result, the students of this class have once again stood out for their great imagination. Well done, boys and girls!
