The Orchestra & Order and Harmony (1ºB)

El pasado trimestre, nuestros alumnos y alumnas de 1ºB llevaron a cabo los siguientes proyectos en la asignatura de música: THE ORCHESTRA En esta actividad los alumnos y alumnas han realizado un mural de la colocación de las familias instrumentales de la orquesta. Han aprendido a nombrar los instrumentos de cuerda (string), viento-madera (woodwind), viento-metal (brass) y percusión (percussion). Además, han conocido la labor del director (conductor) y del concertino (concertmaster). No hay más que ver algunos ejemplos para saber que nuestros alumnos tienen un alto potencial artístico. Juzguen ustedes mismos. ORDER AND HARMONY Los alumnos y alumnas han aprendido a través de esta actividad cómo se estructuran las obras musicales (musical forms) tanto en la música culta (sections and phrases)  como en la popular (chorus, verse, bridge, solo, coda…).  ¡Hola, lectores y lectoras! Volvemos este trimestre recordando algunos de los proyectos que se realizaron en el segundo trimestre gracias a nuestro proyecto bilingüe. Esta vez hablamos de música. Desayuno literario Club de lectura bilingüe

On Tuesday, February 13th, our Bilingual Reading Club met for the first time to discuss the first reading selected at our beloved library. In the week of love, this reading could not be other than the first volume of the wonderful love story from the comic Heartstopper. In English, of course. Our students shared their impressions and opinions in English, as well as discussing important topics such as affective and sexual diversity, which is also part of our main Erasmus+ objectives. After discussing the book, we enjoyed a delicious and well-deserved breakfast. This first meeting was a complete success and we hope the next one will be too. Who was I?

Hello, readers! In 2º ESO B, we study History in a very fun way. Lately, we have played the roles of some historical characters in order to get to know them. We even dressed up as them and we told our classmates about them so everyone could learn who these people were. This was a very enriching experience but above all... we had so much fun! -------------------------- ¡Hola, lectores y lectoras! En 2º ESO B, sabemos cómo divertirnos estudiando historia. Recientemente, hemos representado a varios personajes históricos para conocer más sobre los mismos. Nos disfrazamos y le contamos a nuestros compañeros y compañeras lo que sabíamos para que todos y todas lo aprendiesen. ¡Incluso nos disfrazamos! Fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora, pero sobre todo... ¡lo pasamos genial!

Infographics in Maths

In 3rd and 4th ESO, our students have made some infographics in their Maths lessons.  The infographics in 3ºB include the following: information about the problem of plastic waste caused by humans  data in scientific notation on the amount of plastic used in greenhouses or plastic consumption in homes text to raise awareness among others about the problem of plastics proposals to reduce consumption This is a topic that belongs to one of our Erasmus+ objectives too. We are the chefs!

This term, the students of 2ºB created their own restaurants and wrote down some recipes with their Maths teacher, Helena. Thinking about the quantity of each ingredient was a fun way to learn some Maths in English. Well done, chefs! Ready to help!

Our 4th ESO students are ready to help in case of an accident, to treat a wound, and even to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation. They learnt how to do all of this at the Cardiomarathon at the University of Almeria and they shared this knowledge with their colleagues in 1st ESO. ------------------------------------ Nuestro alumnado de 4ºESO está preparado para ayudar en caso de accidente, para tratar una herida o incluso para llevar a cabo una reanimación cardiopulmonar. Aprendieron todas estas habilidades en la Cardiomaratón de la Universidad de Almería y compartieron este conocimiento con sus compañeros y compañeras de 1ºESO.
