Book Club Second Term

Este trimestre, nuestro club de lectura en inglés ha vuelto a reunirse en nuestra querida biblioteca.

El alumnado de 1º y 2º de ESO ha leído “Wonder”. Esta lectura nos proporcionó importantes temas sobre los que debatir, como la amabilidad, la empatía y la diversidad.


En cuanto a 3º y 4º de ESO, han leído “Death on the Nile”, de nuevo una obra de Agatha Christie. Parece que nuestro alumnado de tiene cualidades detectivescas, ya que ell@s mismos nos pidieron en el pasado trimestre volver a leer a la “reina del misterio”.


Esta lectura nos sugirió temas muy interesantes para debatir relacionados con la la justicia, el amor y la amistad, entre otros. Y después de alimentar nuestras mentes, un rico desayuno, como siempre.

This term, our English Reading Club has gathered once again in our beloved library.

The 1st and 2nd-year ESO (7th and 8th Grade) students read "Wonder". This book provided us with important topics for discussion, such as kindness, empathy, and diversity.

As for 3rd and 4th-year ESO (9th and 10th Grade), they read "Death on the Nile", once again by Agatha Christie. It seems our students have quite the detective skills, as they specifically asked last term to read another work by the "Queen of Mystery."

This reading suggested very interesting debate topics related to justice, love, and friendship, among others. And after feeding our minds, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, as always.

Bienvenid@s de nuevo a nuestro blog de bilingüismo, en el que os iremos contando algunas de las actividades y proyectos que realizamos en el programa bilingüe. Este curso empezamos con un proyecto de matemáticas en 3º. En esta situación de aprendizaje, el alumnado ha trabajado en grupos de cuatro miembros, fomentando así la colaboración, el reparto de tareas y la toma de decisiones en equipo. A lo largo de la actividad, han tenido que resolver un problema práctico que consistía en calcular el presupuesto más económico para enlosar una habitación, partiendo de tres tipos de losas con distintas medidas, formatos y precios. Para ello, han analizado las opciones disponibles, comparado costes y ajustado los cálculos a las necesidades reales del espacio. Physical Education Projects

Hello! Our bilingual students have carried out several very interesting projects in Physical Education, and we wanted to share them with you. This is what their teacher Julio tells us: During the first term, we worked on content related to physical fitness and warm-up. We created projects on general warm-up in 2nd year of ESO, as well as general and specific warm-up projects in 3rd year of ESO, with the aim of understanding the different parts of a warm-up, the body parts involved, and helping to prevent injuries. In the second term, we worked with 2nd year of ESO on badminton. Our students learned about aspects related to the rules, equipment, playing field, and technical elements. They put it into practice and, in addition, created infographics explaining each of the topics we covered in class. Y, por último, antes de terminar el año, os mostramos los proyectos que nuestro alumnado de 1º, 2º y 3º ha realizado en matemáticas con sus profesoras bilingües y la ayuda de nuestra auxiliar de conversación.
