Bilingual Book Club 3º-4º ESO


On February 10th, the meeting of our bilingual reading club for 3rd and 4th-year secondary school students took place in the library after reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

During the meeting, our students discussed various topics addressed in the book and shared their opinions alongside their English teachers. Most of the meeting was conducted in English, and afterward, we enjoyed a delicious literary breakfast.

El lunes 10 de febrero tuvo lugar el encuentro de nuestro club de lectura bilingüe de 3º y 4º ESO en la biblioteca tras haber leído “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”.

Durante la reunión, nuestros alumnos y alumnas charlaron sobre diferentes temas que aborda el libro y dieron su opinión junto con sus profesoras de inglés. La mayor parte de la reunión se desarrolló en inglés, y después disfrutamos de un rico desayuno literario.

Erasmus+ Welcome Concert

As part of our Erasmus+ project, from April 22 to 26, IES Algazul hosted two teachers from Kurfürst-Salentin-Gymnasium in Andernach, Germany, and a group of ten students with their teachers from ZSO in Kluczbork, Poland. To welcome them, our music teachers, Luis and Samuel, prepared a concert in which some of our students showcased their musical talent. Advertisements in 2ºB

Our 2ºB students have recorded several advertisements in their music class. Along with their teacher, Samuel, they had to invent slogans in English, create scripts, and, of course, use the appropriate music. In the final result, the students of this class have once again stood out for their great imagination. Well done, boys and girls! Welcome, Ariel!

Welcome to the new 24-25 school year at Algazul!  We have started the year with very good news for bilingualism at our school, since this year we do have a language assistant. Her name is Ariel, and she comes from Salinas, California.
